I have some follow-up questions:
1. What exact errors are you getting? Can you give us logs or apk output?
I can, but I fixed it. I had made a link in /usr/lib/firefox that was throwing the
installation/upgrade off. I did apk del ff.. removed the link, apk add f..f..-esr and it
is all fine.
2. Which version of firefox-esr is this? Is it 68.9.0-r0?
I had 68.7.0 installed and 68.9.0 came as upgrade
3. Which architecture are you on: x86, x86_64, ppc32, ppc64, or
aarch64?
x86_64
4. What do you currently have in /etc/apk/repositories?
1.0 system and user
This is an old installation, maybe beta3 I can't remember. 9/2018
All OK now, thanks. I should have checked deeper before reporting.
